About My Clients

Have you been feeling out of sorts, tired, sad, worried, noticed your behavior changing, or simply need someone to listen? I provide help with a wide range of concerns (depression, anxiety, negative body image, relationship concerns, low self-esteem, sexuality exploration, parenting issues, gender identity.) You are the expert on you. I help you find your strengths, identify patterns, and explore where you are feeling stuck. We move at your own pace, tailoring our work around your specific goal

My Background and Approach

When you meet with me, you will notice me listening attentively and empathically to both what you say and what you don’t say. Allowing you to tell your story and ask for what you need are important values in my practice. I provide a warm and compassionate atmosphere that encourages honesty and vulnerability. I am an LGBTQ+ welcoming, body positive, sex positive, and inclusive psychologist. I want to empower you to have the courage to explore your beliefs, make changes, and learn more about yourself. My pronouns are she/her/hers. I utilize a humanistic, client-centered approach and choose my interventions collaboratively with each client. This eclectic orientation means we may be using mindfulness/meditation, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, harm reduction, and emotion-focused techniques. With your written consent, I also work collaboratively with other medical and mental health providers to provide the best care for you.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Many of us feel uncomfortable in our bodies, regardless of our background or our ethnicity. We have been sold the false message that we need to change our size, our weight, and our eating habits to be more “acceptable.” Whether you have a diagnosed eating disorder or have been caught in the trap of yo-yo dieting, challenging what you think you know about your body can be helpful. I utilize a Health at Every Size and Intuitive Eating approach, as we work together to help you become more at ease in your own skin. Everyone needs a safe space to tell their story, and I can provide that space. I have over a decade of experience helping clients work through issues, find new perspectives, and heal from past traumas. I love the work of Brene Brown and can help you "Show up, Be seen, Live brave" as well.
