About My Clients
I enjoy working with complex life circumstances due to substance use and mental health. I believe anyone who has made the choice to change and make a commitment to themself has already made the first big step. From substance use disorders to anger, grief to depression and everything in between, life is very stressful. Recognizing there is something you need support with or that you want to figure out is a great place to start.
My Background and Approach
I earned my Master of Social Work at the University of Michigan with specialties in Interpersonal Integrated Mental Health and Substance Abuse. My passion is working with people that want to transition from surviving, to living. My style is based in cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance commitment therapy, harm reduction, motivational interviewing, and being person-centered and trauma-informed.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I recognize the value of lived experience can bring to session. I am a mother, a miliary spouse, and a person in recovery. I believe doing this work I have the honor to make space for individuals to show up as their authentic self.
