Attachment is a lens into our past, both in how we were raised and the experiences we've had in romantic and platonic relationships as adults. If left unaddressed our anxious, avoidant, or fearful attachment can be affecting our current relationships without even realizing it. By becoming aware of your attachment style, understanding your needs in relationships, and how to effectively communicate them, gives power to heal attachment wounds and to move towards a more secure and confident you!

Being a teenager in the early thousands, this is an issue that hits close to home. It is almost impossible to turn off the constant messaging of how bodies should and shouldn't be. I believe that we can heal these narratives with mindful acceptance, kindness to self, and living true to our values no matter the number on the scale or the size of our pants. Besides, sizing makes no sense anyways and screw BMI!

Leaving a high demand religion can be debilitating, absolutely terrifying and wonderfully freeing at the same time. Going through such a fundamental change and shift does not have to be made alone. Processing traumas and healing from our past, grants the power to identify who we are outside of the conditioning and experiences we had in an abusive spiritual or religious institution. There is so much joy and good in this world with, or without a religious framework.

Often when we think of trauma, we think of first responders, military, or car accidents. Trauma can also be complex. It might look like growing up in a high conflict home, living in poverty, bullying, or chronic health issues, etc. I approach my practice through a trauma informed lens. What this means is I take time to understand your experiences and approach processing with intention and care-- ensuring that you first have the tools to process difficult past experiences.
