I received my degree from a Christian organization. Though my spirituality was originally formed by the throws of Evangelicalism, and I may have roots in that throughout my time I also know what it is to sit in the depths of questions. Spirituality is meant to be explored, and hard questions are meant to be asked. I believe that spirituality is always in the process of becoming, as we are always unfolding.
It is my experience throughout life, that we are always in spaces and seasons of transition. Transitions, let's face it, are hard and messy. They can leave us feeling isolated, alone, or out of control as the ground beneath us is shifting. It is always better to have the faithful presence of a fellow traveler in the midst of these moments.
I have previous experience in working as a bereavement coordinator. This means I have walked along families as they went through the process of making arrangements for the loss of a loved one. Though that is my prior experience, I also believe that you can have grief and loss in a myriad of different forms and that all are worth exploring. Whether that be a physical loss of a loved one, the loss of job, the grief of a hard transition, or of unmet expectations. All are worthy of tender care.
