About My Clients

I love working with folks in transition: the grieving, the questioning, the anxious, the emotionally overloaded, the quietly brave. My clients are often neurodivergent, LGBTQ+, and/or nerdy folks trying to reconnect with their feelings and find steadier footing. If you want support that’s warm, real, and judgment-free, this space is for you.

My Background and Approach

Over 13 years, I’ve supported people through grief, illness, identity shifts, burnout, and the “level-up moments” life doesn’t warn you about. My years in hospital and hospice work mean I’m not afraid of the hard stuff. Death, crisis, caregiving, and big feelings don’t scare me, and you don’t have to soften anything around me. Before social work, I taught middle school, which honed my ability to read a room and notice the emotions under the surface. I’m trained in crisis response and narrative therapy, and I use story, metaphor, and humor to help make sense of your experiences. I’ve provided telehealth therapy for 3 years and can help ease that initial virtual awkwardness so you can settle in and feel comfortable. As a former manager and recovering people-pleaser, I understand boundaries, overwhelm, and the weight of being the responsible one. My work is warm, nerd-friendly, LGBTQ+ affirming, and focused on helping you feel grounded and less alone.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I’m a therapist who believes deeply in dignity, equity, and compassion. The “In this house we believe…” sign sums up my values well: Black lives matter, LGBTQ+ rights are human rights, women’s rights are human rights, no human is illegal, science is real, and everyone deserves safety and care. I’m committed to creating a space where people of all identities feel seen and respected. I’m LGBTQ+ affirming, neurodivergence-friendly, and trauma- and grief-informed. I care about access, justice, and supporting people who’ve been told to be “strong” for too long. Outside of therapy, I’m a nerdy, metaphor-loving human who believes in community care, boundaries, and the power of stories. I love cooking for my local free fridges and volunteering with the arts. I believe in the power of the neighborhood; I shop small, support my neighbors' businesses, and lend a helping hand wherever I can.
