Accepting Clients

I don't believe there is one single right way to do therapy. My approach is warm, supportive, and non-judgmental.

About My Clients

In today's world stress seems to loom around every corner. So many people feel overworked, underappreciated, disconnected and/or lost. Trying to navigate the dating world, a work life balance, relationship issues, perinatal challenges, or the overwhelm that comes with becoming a new parent can sometimes feel impossible to manage. The essence of therapy is cultivating a trusting relationship and having a safe space to process feelings, develop awareness, and also learn to navigate the stress.

My Background and Approach

I work from a mix of client-centered, solution-focused and cognitive behavioral therapies and I provide support, warmth, and empathy. Goals are individually tailored, but the objective is to give clients an opening to discuss what feels most important to them, while simultaneously teaching the tools they need to face their obstacles and move beyond them. Therapy can be both challenging and healing - sometimes in the same day. It's important to find a therapist you feel comfortable with, someone who is willing to be on your team.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that most of our struggles stem from a combination of multiple places. I see many people with a never ending list of things to take care of and not enough time to get everything done. This while also being told to balance your self care, downtime, hobbies, homelife, romantic relationships, and health. Add in a lack of healthy coping strategies and skills, and this can leave one feeling that something has to change but being at a total loss in how to start that transition. Through mindfulness and practice, we have the ability to identify our own patterns and dynamics that are no longer serving us in a way we'd like, which allows for the opportunity to make changes. I believe that providing a space to identify and process feelings, as well as teaching skills (time management, healthy communication, conflict resolution, goal setting, stress management, self-advocacy, and boundary setting to name a few) is what allows people to create meaningful progress in their lives.
