About My Clients

While I enjoy working with a variety of folks, I have a special interest in supporting clients through grief, life transitions, and identity work, as well as working with those who have experienced trauma, attachment wounding, and/or religious trauma. I have worked in a variety of capacities with folks of all ages, and have experience or training in anxiety, ACEs, trauma, LGBTQIA+ community, compassion and acceptance, parenting support, religious trauma, death & loss, neurodivergence, and EMDR.

My Background and Approach

My approach is deeply rooted in connection, compassion, and acceptance. I am passionate about assisting clients in discovering and connecting with their own inner wisdom and strengths, as well as gently supporting the process of change. I believe that most change happens in a safe, caring relationship and the role of the therapist is to create such relationship through genuine empathy, curiosity, and attunement; seeking to support the client in the work of knowing themselves more deeply and continuously returning the client back to themselves. We all have parts that may feel loud, chaotic, or complex, I work to hold space for clients to gently explore these areas in a non-judgmental and compassionate way. As I believe clients are the experts on themselves, this process is a collaborative work through a strengths based, anti-oppressive, and trauma informed perspective.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that all of us, regardless of what we have experienced or endured, have within us the capacity for healing and wholeness. That wherever or “however” you are in this moment, there is space to hold all of the complexity, ambiguity, and pain. Often by tending to these places that feel dark or overwhelming, we can bring healing, lessen anxiety, and live life more fully. As a therapist, I work to hold space for clients to gently explore these areas in an open, curious, and compassionate way. I offer a welcoming and inclusive practice that honors the whole person and all of their intersecting identities including: race, ethnicity, gender expression, sexual orientation, ability, religion, age, body shape and size, and socio economic status. I strive to implement an anti-racist and fat-liberation approach, and am LGBTQIA+, kink, and poly allied and affirming.
