About My Clients
“What if this doesn’t work out?” “Why did I say the wrong thing?” “It’s never going to get better.” Whether it’s uneasiness about a new job, a break up, or, say, a global pandemic leading us to spend more alone time than ever before, when an opportunity for anxiety presents itself, our thoughts can run worryingly rampant. While it may seem impossible in the moment, you have the strength to control how these thoughts influence your feelings before they turn into actions.
My Background and Approach
“What if this doesn’t work out?” “Why did I say the wrong thing?” “It’s never going to get better.” Whether it’s uneasiness about a new job, a break up, or, say, a global pandemic leading us to spend more alone time than ever before, when an opportunity for anxiety presents itself, our thoughts can run worryingly rampant. While it may seem impossible in the moment, you have the strength to control how these thoughts influence your feelings before they turn into actions. Sometimes all you need is a hand. As an LPC who has worked in partial hospitalization programs, led group therapy, and helped youth, adolescents, adults, and seniors in an outpatient setting, I know how hard it can be to reach out for support. My varied experience, grounded in cognitive behavioral therapy, can assist in examining those worrisome ideas and determining their rationality. Together, we can rein in those unhealthy thought patterns and create healthier habits.
