What brought me to this work is not what keeps me here. Over the past 15+ years, I have realized that the ableist and pathologizing systems need to be dismantled. Yet committed to access through use of insurance, my conceptualization during our work is collaborative, intersectional, and trusting.
I don’t see myself as an expert in our work, but rather a fellow journeyer honored to have the opportunity to bear witness to another’s growth, healing, and returning to self.
Brainspotting as a trauma modality felt a bit like coming home to me - the trust in one’s infinite bodily wisdom is honoring and comforting. You may be able to identify what feels activated in your body, and then shift to identifying, processing, and releasing these core sources of pain.
And I really trust that you have all you need to heal. Truly. I will hold that for you until you are ready to believe it for yourself.
