About My Clients
I specialize in working with teens and adults from ages 14-50 years of age. I have worked with many clients from all different kinds of backgrounds. I have been intentional in educating myself on how to best support marginalized groups. I can help with such issues as anxiety, depression, grief, chronic illness, life stressors, or self-esteem. Overall, I strive to help people find the skills to handle life challenges confidently and independently.
My Background and Approach
I work from an eclectic and dynamic therapeutic approach with a foundation in Cognitive Behavior Therapy combined with a client-centered Humanistic approach. I have extensive training in trauma focused therapies. My goal is to provide a safe and judgment free space that allows my clients to feel comfortable expressing their inner thoughts and challenges. I want to create a partnership where I am able to empower my clients to develop skills in order to manage their symptoms and be successful in their goals.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
At a previous agency, I was a founding member of our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusivity committee. I feel strongly about all humans being treated with respect and dignity. I have completed many trainings to educate myself on social justice issues, being culturally sensitive, and how to best serve the LGBTQ+ community.
