About My Clients
I offer individual and family therapy and work with teens and adults. Through my work with children and families in schools, I have gained experience with providing parenting coaching to support parents on their journey to nurturing resilient, thriving families. I also have expertise in working with anxiety.
My Background and Approach
I received a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia in Psychology and a Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan. I hold a license in both DC and Maryland. In my last four years of clinical practice, I have worked with a wide range of populations and presenting problems. While I do utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions (ACT, DBT, CBT, Grief and Trauma Interventions and Solution Focused Therapy), that have demonstrated efficacy in fostering lasting change, I believe that establishing a genuine, authentic, and nonjudgmental relationship between the therapist and client is the real key to successful therapy. I will meet you where you’re at, as every individual needs something different out of therapy. I believe that by working together, we can figure out what that will look like for you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that all people are capable of growth and change. I think that much of human suffering comes from overthinking or trying to conform to societal norms and expectations. I am here to support you in identifying what YOUR version of valued living looks like and supporting you in your journey to self-acceptance and self-love in pursuit of those values. If you are ready to begin your therapeutic journey towards self-discovery and healing, I am here to provide a safe and supportive space and look forward to hearing from you.
