About My Clients
I work with adults who are thoughtful, overwhelmed, and often carrying more than they let on. Many are in the middle of change, loss, or burnout and want a place to slow down and be honest. My work focuses on helping clients make sense of what they are experiencing and build practical ways to cope, adjust, and move forward with more clarity and steadiness.
My Background and Approach
I’m a licensed mental health counselor with advanced training in trauma-informed care, grief work, and identity-affirming therapy. I bring several years of clinical experience to my work, along with a commitment to ongoing education. This means clients receive care that is thoughtful, current, and grounded in best practices. In sessions, I focus on creating a calm, honest space where we slow things down, make sense of what’s happening, and build practical tools that support real, sustainable change.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My values and clinical work are shaped by the reality that therapy exists within social and political systems. Mental health is not separate from access, safety, or rights. I welcome clients of all gender identities and am an active ally to the LGBTQIA+ community. I believe in reproductive justice and in disability-affirming care that respects autonomy, dignity, and lived experience. My work is rooted in the belief that therapy can be both supportive and honest. I aim to create a space where clients can talk openly about how systems, power, and inequity affect their mental health, while also building practical tools for coping and change. I trust that people are doing the best they can with the tools they have, and therapy can help expand those tools. In addition to individual counseling, I partner with local nonprofits to support food stability and access to care for families in need.
