Associate Marriage & Family Therapist in Stratford, CT

About My Clients

I work best with teens, adults, and seniors who are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stressed, or stuck in life. Many of my clients are navigating relationship challenges, life transitions, grief and loss, low self-esteem, or difficulty managing emotions. I also support those who simply feel disconnected or unsure of their next step. In a warm, supportive, judgment-free space, I help clients build coping skills, improve relationships, and create greater balance, clarity, and emotional well-being.

My Background and Approach

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (LMFT-A), I provide therapy under clinical supervision using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), collaborative therapy, and family systems theory. This allows me to tailor support to each client’s needs, relationships, and life stage. As a first-generation American from a Caribbean background, I value cultural identity, family dynamics, and the experiences that shape how we see ourselves and connect with others. I work with teens, adults, and seniors facing anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationship challenges, grief, and self-esteem concerns. Many clients come feeling overwhelmed or stuck. Together, we focus on building coping skills, emotional regulation, and healthier patterns so you can feel more balanced, confident, and connected.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe therapy should be a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where people feel heard, respected, and empowered to grow. I value cultural humility, inclusion, and honoring each person’s lived experience, identity, and background in the therapeutic process. As a first-generation American from a Caribbean background, I understand how culture, family expectations, and identity can shape emotional well-being and relationships. I strive to create a space where clients feel seen in all parts of who they are. I am passionate about helping teens, adults, and seniors build emotional resilience, improve relationships, and navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity and confidence. My work is grounded in respect, empathy, and collaboration, and I believe healing happens when clients feel safe enough to be their full selves.
