About My Clients
My clients often feel stuck in patterns they understand intellectually but still struggle to change. I work with individuals, couples, children, teens and families navigating anxiety, relationship conflict, communication difficulties, parenting concerns, grief and life transitions. They want more than temporary coping strategies—they want to understand what is shaping their responses, strengthen important relationships and create meaningful, lasting change.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate with more than 12 years of experience supporting children, adults and families through life transitions, relationship difficulties and profound crisis. My background helps me look beyond isolated symptoms to understand how experiences, relationships, beliefs and recurring patterns influence what is happening today. My approach is relational, practical and grounded in honest conversation. I strive to create a space where clients feel supported while also being thoughtfully challenged. Rather than simply listening or offering temporary solutions, I ask meaningful questions, share observations and help clients develop greater clarity, healthier responses and stronger relationships. I draw from family systems, cognitive behavioral, acceptance and commitment, solution-focused and relational approaches based on each client’s needs. My work is informed by a Christian understanding of people and relationships, with dignity and respect.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My work is informed by a Christian understanding of people, relationships and personal growth. I believe every person has inherent value, every story matters and people often make more sense when we understand the experiences and relationships that have shaped them. I also believe meaningful change requires both compassion and honesty—being accepted as we are does not mean remaining stuck in patterns that harm us or our relationships. Clients come from a variety of backgrounds, beliefs and levels of faith. Some want Scripture, biblical principles and faith integrated openly into counseling, while others prefer faith to remain less explicit or not be included in sessions. I do not assume what role faith should play, and my role is not to persuade clients to adopt my beliefs or debate matters of faith. Instead, I seek to understand each client’s goals and provide thoughtful, evidence-informed counseling in which every person is treated with dignity, compassion and respect.
