About My Clients
Welcome to Jessica Steurer, LMHC Counseling. I offer services to a broad range of ages from 4-22 years old. My speciality lies within children and families. I have assisted with life transitions, anxiety, and trauma related diagnoses. In addition, I treat a broad range of behavioral related issues such as, ADHD/ADD, ODD, and family conflict/parenting skills.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). My therapeutic approach is rooted in a person centered and strength based perspective and draws from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) techniques.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family, traveling, cooking, reading, and weight lifting. I am currently training towards a national qualification title in Body Building. I am strongly passionate about the fitness/nutrition world. I am a strong believer that physical health problems significantly increase our risk of developing mental health problems, and vice versa. It is widely known that a percentage of people with long-term physical health conditions also struggle with mental health, most often depression or anxiety.
