About My Clients
My clients come from many different backgrounds, stages of life, and personal experiences, but they often share one thing in common — they are looking for a provider who will truly listen without judgment and help them create a realistic path forward. I work with children, adolescents, and adults struggling with concerns such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, instability, stress, burnout, emotional overwhelm, difficulty focusing, sleep concerns, and challenges with motivation or daily functioning.
My Background and Approach
My background in mental health spans a variety of clinical settings and age groups, allowing me to develop a well-rounded and compassionate approach to psychiatric care. Prior to becoming a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I worked extensively in behavioral health as a registered nurse in emergency psychiatric services, outpatient psychiatry, geriatric behavioral health, and long-term care leadership roles. These experiences gave me firsthand insight into the complexity of mental health conditions across the lifespan and the importance of treating each patient as an individual rather than focusing solely on diagnoses or symptoms.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe people are capable of growth and meaningful change at any stage of life. Many mental health struggles develop through learned patterns, stress, trauma, and life experiences — and with the right support, those patterns can be changed and healthier coping skills can be developed. My approach to care is also shaped by personal experience. As a child, I struggled with severe anxiety and panic attacks, and through therapy and personal growth, I learned how to manage my anxiety and regain control over my life. That experience helps me connect with patients with both compassion and understanding. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where patients feel comfortable being themselves. I value inclusivity, authenticity, and collaborative care, and I welcome individuals from all backgrounds and identities.
