About My Clients
My ideal client has experienced childhood trauma and is ready to feel more present and connected to themselves and others. They are often highly sensitive, tending to be others-focused, may struggle with trust, expressing needs, or feeling like their authentic self. They’re open to exploring patterns, deepening self-understanding, and building more secure relationships.
My Background and Approach
I believe it’s important that you understand not just what we’re doing in therapy, but why. I value transparency and collaboration, offering education along the way so you feel informed, empowered, and actively part of the process. My approach is rooted in safety, trust, and respect for your nervous system. We move at your pace. Never rushing, and never exploring anything you’re not ready for. With your consent guiding the work, we take things slowly to reduce overwhelm and support lasting change. I aim to be both direct and warm, creating a space where honesty and care can coexist. I am extensively trained in trauma-focused therapies, including EMDR, and am currently deepening my work through ongoing somatic training to further support mind-body healing.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My values are deeply rooted in advocacy, cultural respect, and social awareness. I began this work volunteering on a sexual assault and violence hotline and continue to support suicide prevention efforts in my community. I hold a feminist perspective and am passionate about understanding how societal systems impact both women and men. As a Native American therapist, I honor the importance of culture, identity, and ancestral connection. I value creating space for clients to explore their own cultural backgrounds whether they were raised in those traditions or are reconnecting later in life. I believe healing is not just individual, but connected to community, history, and the systems we live within.
