My Background and Approach
Jessica holds a Master of Science in Counseling and Development from Texas Woman's University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Texas at Arlington. She is trained in Motivational Interviewing and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). Additionally, she is certified in several parenting curricula, including Nurturing Parenting, Nurturing Fathers, Positive Parenting Program, Systematic Training for Effective Parenting (STEP), and Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI). Her work is dedicated to helping individuals and families overcome challenges and achieve lasting healing and growth. Her therapeutic style integrates various methods, including Adlerian theory and person centered, utilizing modalities such as CBT, DBT, Trauma-Focused CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Art Therapy, and Child-Centered Play Therapy.
