About My Clients
Are you feeling stuck or limited? Perhaps old coping mechanisms or forms of communicating are no longer serving you. My clients are individuals looking for a collaborative treatment in reconnecting to their authenticity following experiences trauma, addiction, anxiety, depression and/or codependency. My clients experience non-judgement as we navigate uncomfortable parts of their process and unlearn programming and conditioning that hold us back.
My Background and Approach
I utilize trauma-informed therapies such as EMDR and somatic practices to reduce automatic physiological responses relating to fight, flight, freeze, or fawn. Trauma responses are caused by tragic events happening too quickly. In slowing down the process, we can allow the body and mind to integrate the event. We also uncover limiting beliefs resulting from trauma. Our beliefs are shaped during childhood without our consent. In doing this work, we can shift our belief systems to help us move forward. I emphasize a spiritual approach to support clients in connecting to their innate wisdom and heal through blocks. We explore protective mechanisms with self-compassion while learning and implementing new ways of coping by incorporating breathing exercises, somatic work, mindfulness, and through reparenting ourselves. In creating a new relationship with our emotions—energy in motion—we can increase our capacity to feel, transmute and integrate our emotions.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe healing is a holistic process. As humans, it is our natural tendency to evolve. Suffering can arise when our “old ways” of coping begin to interfere with our evolution. As we change our daily habits and develop healthier coping mechanisms, we begin to experience ourselves differently, helping us to feel more self-compassion and empowerment. I believe in approaching healing not from an energy of force. We focus on incremental progress--opening our heart just 5% more--leading to larger shifts over time.
