About My Clients
Conditions I have the most experience treating include: anxiety, depression, grief, addiction, relationship problems, PTSD and low self esteem. I have a passion for helping survivors of trauma, especially spiritual/religious abuse and sexual abuse. Growing up with a sibling who is on the spectrum created a special place in my heart for neurodivergent clients as well. I have limited sliding scale availability for low-income clients.
My Background and Approach
I provide therapy in office, virtual, or in natural spaces like the park and beach. I use therapy modalities that I have personally experienced great benefit from including: EMDR, IFS, meditation and Humanistic approach. My approach is holistic in that we will address emotions, behaviors, thoughts, behaviors, relationships, somatic elements and spirituality to the extent the client is comfortable. With couples and families my focus is on helping each member of the family to be fully seen, heard and understood by the others; and learn how to hold space for their loved ones to do the same. Surf therapy and other outdoor therapies are ideal for clients who don't feel comfortable with the slower and focus requiring nature of office therapy and/or who are looking to relieve stress and build self esteem and coping skills. I also provide play therapies and therapeutic art activities for teens or clients who wish to be seen in office but prefer less talking.
