About My Clients
I have a range of experience but I specialize in men's issues, trauma, and psychodynamic therapy. I also have extensive experience working with mood disorders and co-occurring disorders. I primarily work with men in practice and we discuss a lot about navigating issues related to relationships, masculinity, and better understanding how past experiences are shaping the present and how to either embrace or change some of those things.
My Background and Approach
My goal is to provide a warm and non-judgmental environment as we navigate the issues brining you to therapy while also celebrating your successes. I believe that therapy is a process that allows us to learn more about ourselves, heal, and create meaningful change in our lives. I like to find ways to help you work on that change. Sometimes it can feel like a slow burn but when we are better able to understand ourselves and the places we are coming from it is so worth it!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in people's ability to change. I believe that t nothing is permanent and that when we commit to some part of the change process we can make a difference in our own lives. I don't believe we know how this will look but I do know it is possible for people regardless of circumstances. I have spent a lot of my career working with marginalized groups and try my best as a person and professional to be an ally and an advocate for other people.
