About My Clients
I work with adults from BIPOC communities who are navigating anxiety, trauma, burnout, identity exploration, and the emotional impact of systemic stress. Many of my clients are used to being strong, high-functioning, and self-reliant, yet feel overwhelmed or unseen. Therapy with me offers a culturally responsive, validating space to rest, process, and heal without having to explain or minimize your lived experience.
My Background and Approach
I’m a licensed clinical social worker with experience supporting adults through anxiety, trauma, burnout, and major life transitions. My work is deeply trauma-informed and culturally responsive, with a strong awareness of how identity, race, and systemic stressors impact mental health—especially for clients from BIPOC communities. My approach is collaborative, paced, and grounded in building emotional safety. I integrate evidence-based practices while staying flexible and attuned to each client’s needs, nervous system, and lived experience. Therapy with me is not about “fixing” you, but about creating space to understand patterns, process experiences, and reconnect with yourself in a way that feels validating and sustainable. I strive to offer a space where clients don’t have to over-explain, minimize, or perform strength—and where healing can happen with honesty, compassion, and care.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy should be a space rooted in safety, dignity, and respect. I value cultural humility, social justice, and affirming care, and I approach my work with an awareness of how systems of power, oppression, and privilege impact mental health—particularly for BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities. I believe healing happens when people feel seen and validated, not pathologized or rushed. I’m committed to creating a therapeutic space where clients don’t have to minimize their experiences, perform strength, or educate their therapist. My work is guided by compassion, collaboration, and the belief that rest, boundaries, and self-trust are essential parts of healing. I support equity, liberation, and care practices that honor the whole person—mind, body, and lived experience.
