My Background and Approach
I believe all people, no matter what circumstances they experience, have the ability to build a meaningful life. This is the perspective from which I provide therapy. For the past ten years, I have walked with clients through grief, chronic illness, identity struggles, anxiety, and many other challenges. My recent completion of an advanced fellowship has provided my practice with additional expertise in helping clients acknowledge pain, develop mindfulness skills, identify meaningful goals, and move in the direction of the life they long to live. Together, we can work to dismantle the power of anxiety, fear, and grief in your life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a member of the LGBT+ community, and am actively involved in advocacy and community development. I identify as Christian, and enjoy navigating the complexities of the intersection between sexuality and faith. I am passionate about increasing acceptance and visibility of non-monogamous, kinky, and other non-traditional relationships. As a social worker, activism in the direction of justice matters a great deal to me, and I engage in it as often as I am able. I'm still learning, listening, and growing. I believe that learning is a lifelong process, and that without it growth is impossible.
