About My Clients

I work with adults healing from trauma, anxiety, disordered eating, perfectionism, and self-criticism. Many of my clients are good at holding it all together. From the outside things look fine; inside, they're exhausted, and often quietly convinced something is wrong with them. Many have been managing for a long time without much sense of why things feel harder than they should.

My Background and Approach

I've been doing this work for over a decade. Before private practice I spent years in higher levels of care, with people in intensive recovery from eating disorders and trauma. My training includes Brainspotting, EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, Internal Family Systems, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, along with Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy. I'm also a certified yoga teacher. I use the therapeutic relationship to explore what modalities best suit you throughout your healing process, and I believe the relational aspect of therapy is one of the most important catalysts for change. No modality is perfect, and you need a therapist who can adjust the approach to best support your current needs. Clients describe my style as warm, direct, intuitive, and infused with humor to take the edge off when needed.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I'm queer, and I think a lot about how the systems we live in shape what people believe about themselves. Much of my own work has been in untangling the stories I inherited about bodies, worth, and who gets to take up space. Above any clinical expertise or modality, I'm a human first, working through the same existential questions as everyone else. Living comes with so much pain and suffering, even in the most ideal circumstances, and it is often in relationship — with ourselves, with the earth, and with community — that we can let the beauty in too. Therapy can be one of those places, somewhere to turn toward the hardest things with somebody there to witness and stay with you. Outside of therapy I cook, hike, garden, and spend a good amount of time convincing three cats to leave the houseplants alone. I also listen to far too many podcasts — I'll probably try to send you a few (fair warning!).
