About My Clients
My patients are motivated to gain a deeper understanding of themselves and challenge themselves to make meaningful changes in their lives. Whether trying to improve relationships, sexual health, or cope with the world around them, my patients (will come to) understand the importance of self-discovery and compassion.
My Background and Approach
My background is in Clinical Social Work with an emphasis on Human Sexuality. I view patients as unique individuals with their own "operating systems." I also believe the world is changing in ways that are unhelpful and unhealthy for many people. Folx who have been marginalized face even more unique challenges that I aim to understand, support, and fight against. I operate from an anti-oppressive framework, and utilize a person-centered and collaborative approach to care. I believe everyone deserves peace, and I will try to help you find and protect yours.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My personal beliefs are very much in alignment with the Social Work profession, including - but not limited to - social justice, dignity and worth of every person, and integrity. Maintaining integrity as a professional as well as in my personal life is of the utmost importance to me. Some of my personal values include relationships, family, freedom of choice, adventure and honesty. I am passionate about social justice, racial equity, human and animal rights. For pleasure I enjoy traveling, spending time in nature, eating, music and dancing, and spending time with children and animals.
