About My Clients
As a queer therapist, I love working within the LGBTIQA+ community as well as those that are experiencing depression, anxiety, or healing from trauma. Many of my clients have tried "talk therapy" and have found that they need more. I use a person-centered, strengths-based and holistic approach with the belief that you know what is true and right for yourself. At this time, I offer solely telehealth sessions.
My Background and Approach
I believe it's essential in therapy to explore all parts of yourself and understand how they’ve been shaped by your relationships, life experiences, and the larger systems around you. I work from a trauma-informed, client-centered perspective that honors your unique story, resilience, and goals. I am trained in multiple trauma modalities including EMDR, Internal Family Systems, Attachment Theory, and more. This means we’ll dig deep, get real, and work through the hard stuff without tiptoeing around it. You don’t have to perform here. You don’t have to have the right words. You just have to show up - I’ll meet you there.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My approach is integrative, relational, and client-centered. It is grounded in the belief that you possess the inner resources and strengths necessary for healing and growth. Recognizing that each person’s path is unique, I draw from a range of therapeutic models to support your specific goals and challenges. I am committed to providing affirming, respectful, and culturally responsive care to individuals of all races, ethnicities, gender expressions, sexual orientations and identities, religions, abilities, body sizes, and socio-economic backgrounds. We are living in a world right now where there is constant secondary trauma occurring and life is hard. I believe that all behaviors are adaptive in some way and I work along side you to explore that. I support BLM, am an active member of the LGBTQIA+ community, and honor your life experiences.
