About My Clients
You're struggling. You feel stuck. And somewhere in that struggle, there's probably a relationship asking something of you, whether it's with a parent, a partner, a friend, a child, or yourself. I may not know your details, but I do know you're not a problem to be solved. Your feelings are messengers, and they deserve to be tended with care. So do you. I work with adults through grief, career changes, and shifts in who they are and what they believe. And I'd be honored to walk alongside you.
My Background and Approach
I spent 15 years as a scientist before becoming a counselor, so I know what it's like when a path stops fitting and the life you imagined starts to dissolve before your eyes. There is a way through it, and from my experience, relationships are at the core of our growth and healing. Because of that, my approach is relational, warm, direct, and collaborative. Big changes tend to ripple through our relationships, so we'll look at those together, including the one you have with yourself. I trust that you already carry the wisdom and strength you need, and our work together will remind you of that. You are capable. Each session will meet you where you are. Some days we might breathe, practice mindfulness, color, or play with play doh, because what you need today may not be what you need next week. My office has water and snacks, fidgets, and aromatherapy, and you'll leave with a few practices that are yours to keep. If you're ready to explore what's next, reach out. I'd love to connect.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am most at peace when I am living in alignment with my values. One of Buddhism's core virtues is Ahimsa: avoiding harm in thought, word, and deed, because to harm another is to harm yourself. With that in mind, everyone is welcome here. I support you being who you are in whatever ways feel true. We will talk about your culture, the systems that weren't built to support you, and the harm you've experienced. I also value compassion, lifelong learning, and practicing what I preach. When I get something wrong, I apologize and work to repair things. I believe clear is kind, and that honest communication and boundaries help us love ourselves and each other more wholly. I volunteer at youth and family grief camps because I've seen how much community helps us grow through loss. I love crafting, floating the river, and tea with a book, from romantasy to research. I'm a New York girl at heart who loves pizza, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and energy healing.
