About My Clients

My client is someone who senses that their struggles are rooted in more than just the present moment. Clients come to me, often when they have tried other types of therapy, first, and found a need for more. Together, we look at how early experiences and important relationships have shaped the way you respond to yourself and others. Through this exploration, we move toward greater emotional freedom, self-understanding, and more authentic connections.

My Background and Approach

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I practice from a space that is grounded in curiosity, connection, and depth. My approach blends psychodynamic and relational therapy—exploring how past experiences and relationships shape how you feel, think, and relate today. Before entering the field of counseling, I spent over a decade as an educator, mentor, and advocate. These experiences deepened my appreciation for the intricacies of interpersonal dynamics and the resiliency of the human spirit. While my work is rooted in insight, I also integrate evidence-based methods like CBT, DBT, and Existential Therapy to support practical change. My goal is to create a safe, collaborative space where you can slow down, gain clarity, and move toward lasting emotional growth and self-understanding. I view working with clients as a privilege and a partnership. I have a deep appreciation and respect for the courage it takes to begin this journey of self-discovery and reflection.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe therapy is a place to pause and breathe—to get curious about your story and what it means to be you. Life moves quickly, and it’s easy to lose touch with the parts of ourselves that need attention and care - and those parts can be buried under years of doing what you needed to do in order to survive. Emotional pain is rarely simple, and together we will take the time to understand its many layers. We will explore how your relationships, communication patterns, and the expectations you’ve internalized from society may be affecting your emotional well-being. This process is not about judgment but about bringing clarity to areas of life that may feel confusing or overwhelming. With curiosity and compassion, we’ll work to challenge limiting beliefs, rewrite unhelpful narratives, and uncover pathways to healing. This journey can help you connect more deeply with your authentic self and discover new ways to move forward with resilience and hope.
