About My Clients
I work extensively with members of the SOGIE/LGBTQIA+ community; individuals with trauma; and teens. I specialize in life transitions, mood disorders, and finding solutions to every day problems that restrict my clients from living their life to its fullest potential.
My Background and Approach
I received a BS in psychology from Boise State University in 2011. I then received my MS in clinical counseling from Northwest Nazarene University. After graduation, I worked for the Idaho Department of Juvenile Corrections doing assessment, diagnostics, and treatment of juveniles with sexual misconduct and co-occurring disorders. I worked for a period of time as the clinical director for a large community agency where I supervised the peer support program and provided intern and non-independently licensed clinicians with supervision while also maintaining a caseload of clients. I have specialized training in trauma by way of Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). ART is a therapeutic modality that can help the brain rewire itself in a very short period of time to provide relief from trauma responses, chronic pain, and mood instabilities, among other things.
