About My Clients
My own matrescence—my journey into motherhood—has deeply shaped and shifted my clinical passion. As a mother who has navigated a perinatal mental health diagnosis and the work of tending to my own internal parts, I feel a deep commitment to supporting others through this transformative and often overwhelming season. I am especially passionate about increasing awareness around reproductive mental health and the realities many birthing people face without adequate support.
My Background and Approach
My therapeutic approach is gentle, collaborative, and paced with care. I draw from psychodynamic and Internal Family Systems (IFS) frameworks, while integrating mindfulness and somatic practices to support whole-person healing. Together, we will find a rhythm and approach that feels aligned with your needs and your story. I also offer couples therapy, particularly for those navigating perinatal and parenting experiences. I practice through a decolonizing lens, with a commitment to reducing stigma and honoring diverse ways of healing. As a cisgender, multi-ethnic clinician who is often white-assumed, I hold awareness of the privileges I carry and remain committed to ongoing reflection and accountability. Supporting clients who are impacted by systemic inequities is an important and intentional part of my work.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that broader systemic and societal pressures have left many parents navigating matrescence in isolation. Providing intentional, compassionate support during this time is not only essential for individual well-being, but also for breaking intergenerational cycles and fostering healthier families and communities.
