About My Clients
I have experience with a variety of concerns, but I specialize in anxiety, mood disorders, LGBTQ+ informed and affirmative practices, Neurodiversity Affirmative Therapy, anger concerns, grief, divorce, and trauma. No matter how your concerns are impacting you, I work to meet you where you're at and come up with a plan to help you begin to manage your stress now.
My Background and Approach
I have experience working in private practice, non-profit, and agency settings. I have presented at conferences on LGBTQIA+ informed practices, provided therapy to groups using table-top games as the central focus, and have provided education to families and employers on mental health concerns. I want to work with you to address all the aspects of your life that your concerns are effecting - work, school, family, romantic partnerships, and friends. I work from a hands-on and practical approach, and aim to teach you coping skills early on to help you deal with struggles. I am also an Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) trained therapist.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that anyone is capable of growth at any stage of their lives. No matter how long struggles have been present, I think everyone has the strength to cope and change their lives for the better. I am a fierce believer in equality. I have given presentations on LGBTQ+ affirmative practices at multiple conferences, and am welcoming of all ethnicities, races, religions, economic statuses, and backgrounds. I am a Neurodivergent provider, and work from a Neurodiversity Affirmative framework. I think diversity is what makes humanity so beautiful, and I like to celebrate the things that make us all unique.
