About My Clients
When working with neurodivergent, LGBTQIA+, or young adult clients, I do not shy away from those who struggle with traditional power dynamics and authority. I embrace clients’ need for their autonomy to be respected and honored in our sessions. I enjoy working with both young adults and adults who are struggling to find their identity, those who have experienced trauma or attachment disruptions, and autistic clients- particularly those with PDA traits.
My Background and Approach
I am patient, caring, and more than a little bit of a nerd. I keep up with digital, internet, and geek culture, gaming, and other online communities. I am always open to learning more about my clients’ interests and invite them into our sessions as important modes of communication! I graduated from Adler Graduate School with a Master of Arts in Counseling and Art Therapy, and am currently supervised by Angela (Pitton) Abdo, LPCC. I use both art and talk therapy in my practice. In addition to art therapy, I am informed by and interested in person-centered, psychodynamic, and existential theories of counseling.
