About My Clients
Therapy can be a safe space where clients can come to be vulnerable and not judged. Having a safe connection is important. Therapy can be a place to find new ways to manage a problem or explore thoughts. I have clinical experience with cancer patients/chronic illness and their caregivers. We have worked through feelings of anxiety, depression, various types of grief and losses in session. I have therapeutically worked with clients of different ages and cultural backgrounds.
My Background and Approach
I use many different techniques but believe therapy changes as the client changes with progress. I have helped clients work through anxiety, depression, life transitions, a cancer diagnosis, chronic illness, grief and loss. We can learn to notice anxiety symptoms in your body so you can stop the panic. Therapy is a collaboration in session that the client then works on outside to see the change. I can be pretty creative with the tools I teach so they fit the client's personality. I like to incorporate mindfulness and gratitude to work towards a positive outlook. I hope we can work through some emotions together. You are doing the best you can in this moment.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Our issues are learned from our familial ties. The cycles we go through are learned and often we are not even aware of them. You are taking the first step to changing and happiness. I believe everyone can change with the right person supporting them. What changes do you want to make?
