About My Clients
I specialize in working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, anger, autism, trauma and more! I also have experience working with the school system advocating for IEP's and 504 plans for children with learning disabilities and behavioral challenges.
My Background and Approach
I earned both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Social Work, with a minor in psychology, from Saint Leo University. During my practicum internship, I worked with adults experiencing mental health disorders, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia. In 2020, I began working with children and families during my clinical internship. I have training in play therapy and art therapy techniques, and I use DBT and CBT strategies within a relaxed, client-centered approach. I also have experience with substance abuse and the school system. I advocate for the rights of my clients and instill a sense of resilience and autonomy while facilitating the therapeutic alliance.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a relaxed, open-minded, and flexible professional. My goal is to support clients without judgment, helping them become independent, think critically, understand themselves, and improve their interactions within their environments. Raised in a conservative Christian environment, I hold an associate's degree in theology. I also have extensive experience with the LGBTQ+ community both professionally and personally. I believe in understanding personal beliefs while challenging limiting thoughts and cognitive distortions. I am here to support you in achieving your goals and the changes you wish to see in your life.
