Symptoms of negative emotions can become overwhelming. I understand exactly how this feels. Working together we will develop tools to break the pattern to become the best you and live a life you love.
My Background and Approach
Working together we will develop tools thro different techniques to aide in your wellbeing. I match each treatment to the individuals I work with. Through the use of cognitive behavioral approaches, solution focused, skills of somatic and ecotherapy, and psychoeducation to eliminate negative emotions, such as anxiety and stress, to begin living life within the direction and goal orientated approaches you want. I lean towards areas of somatic therapy to assist in understanding your body response and how to retrain your brain for relief. I have participated in training and certifications such as clinical trauma treatment and feminist theory to have a tool box filled with creative and positive tools to help you. Gaining strength in your self esteem, resilience, healthy responses, and motivation for change are examples of the empowerment working together will bring. You are your own expert and together, collaboratively, we will work in the treatment areas you have decided to address
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone has the ability to be the expert of themselves. With work and desire to grown, change, and learn anyone can make the change. I have extensive training and experience working in trauma, first responder trauma, and suicide prevention/response and believe that tomorrow wants us all here. I love the ability to help my community through volunteering and advocacy. I work in animal assisted and eco therapy approaches, art and play, and any creative outlet that may not only bring joy it also aides to the unique treatment in therapy. I became a therapist because therapy was the light I needed to realize life is good and positivity goes further than how I was living. I am open and start any beginning session with a conversation to know the basis of how we interact, your comfort is my goal with an environment where we both can be ourselves and start a great working relationship.
