About My Clients
My main areas of focus are cultural adjustment and identity, anxiety and Stress, trauma, depression, and self-esteem. I work best with children, young adults, and adults navigating cultural expectations, life transitions, and identity development. I connect well with clients who are managing the pressure of cultural norms, academic challenges, and family dynamics. With children, I focus on building emotional awareness, teaching coping strategies, and encouraging healthy communication.
My Background and Approach
In therapy, I aim to create a collaborative and culturally aware space where you can safely explore your personal story. I draw on a range of therapeutic models, including CBT, Family Systems, and Narrative Therapy, depending on what best supports you. I offer a safe, compassionate space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings openly. With a personal understanding of the complexities that come with balancing cultural expectations, family dynamics, and personal growth as a first-generation professional, I am dedicated to assisting clients in exploring and managing these challenges in a manner that honors both their personal and cultural identities. Working with me feels supportive, collaborative, and intentional. I bring warmth and empathy to our sessions while also helping you identify patterns and practical tools you can use outside of sessions. I listen deeply, validate your experience, and gently challenge you to help you move toward the version of yourself you want to be.
