About My Clients
I work solely with adult women ages 18 and above. I treat most mental health conditions including depressive disorders, anxiety disorders (including OCD), ADHD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and personality disorders. I have training and experience treating these conditions throughout the lifespan, including during pregnancy and the postpartum period. I specialize in treating premenstrual dysphoric disorder, pregnant and postpartum women, as well as those experiencing infertility.
My Background and Approach
I attended medical school at Touro University California and completed my four year adult psychiatry residency at Northwell, Zucker Hillside Hospital. During residency, I completed the perinatal psychiatry pathway, a 3 year longitudinal experience and also served as chief resident of inpatient services. I have trained in various psychotherapy modalities including CBT, IPT, and TFP and completed a 1 year fellowship in psychoanalytic psychotherapy from NYU. Following residency, I worked as an attending psychiatrist on a women and perinatal inpatient unit and later worked as Physician-in-Charge of Zucker Hillside's Perinatal Psychiatry Center. I have extensive training and experience working with women during all stages of life including as they navigate infertility, loss, pregnancy, and the postpartum period.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am passionate about working with all those who identify as female as they navigate the various obstacles life has to offer. I work to help you improve functioning in the present while also helping you understand the influence of the past. My treatment approach includes providing comprehensive and individualized care, prioritizing psychotherapy, and reducing polypharmacy. With that said, I may mindfully prescribe medication when/if needed.
