About My Clients
We are often not prepared for the variety of challenges we could face around the birth of a child – fertility issues, pregnancy/infant loss, postpartum depression/anxiety, traumatic birth, or trouble feeling connected to a new baby. For others, growing up in a tumultuous home causes them to question if they are “cut out” for parenting or childhood wounds surface after the birth. Maybe your child is a bit older and parenting has become challenging in ways that support would be helpful.
My Background and Approach
I am passionate about helping people wherever they are in their parenting journey. Most of my work is done through an attachment lens (how we love and how we have been loved) and I find it helpful to explore ways that both big and little traumas affect our worldviews. All of my time as a therapist has been focused on doing trauma and attachment therapy with individuals and families. I am trained in EMDR, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Circle of Security Parenting, family systems theory, and somatic therapy. I aim to help my clients develop their own inner resources so that they can move from survival mode to truly enjoying each phase of the parenting process.
