About My Clients
I support individuals with navigating eating disorder recovery and healing from the legacy of trauma. My clients often experience feelings of hopelessness, anxiety, shame, and unworthiness. Many of my clients struggle with trusting themselves and/or others, deal with hyper vigilance, and feel disconnected from their bodies.
My Background and Approach
As a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, I understand how trauma overwhelms our nervous system, interrupting our ability to process and integrate memories in a healthy, adaptive way. My tenure as a therapist has taught me that responses to present day stressors are often correlated to adverse experiences of the past. My training in trauma-oriented treatment modalities such as EMDR and Internal Family Systems (IFS) guides my therapeutic approach and serves as the foundation of my clinical expertise.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My practice is committed to partnering with individuals as they navigate some of the most difficult moments of their lives by bearing witness to their suffering and serving as a guide to facilitate healing. My approach is grounded in the belief that healing initiates when an individual feels truly seen and heard. I strive to foster a therapeutic environment that invites individuals to explore all facets of themselves with compassionate curiosity. I value the therapeutic relationship and consider it a privilege to serve as a partner in the healing journey.
