About My Clients
You may know yourself well but still feel something isn’t shifting—or sense that the life or identity that once fit no longer does. I work best with curious adults open to looking beneath familiar patterns and participating in change. Our work may include life transitions, meaning, grief, anxiety, relationships, or the effects of a specific overwhelming event. My practice is not designed for crisis care, intensive stabilization, or long-term treatment of complex PTSD or developmental trauma.
My Background and Approach
I’ve been a psychotherapist for 25 years, and my own healing began more than 30 years ago. Being on both sides of the couch has shaped how I work. My approach is integrative and grounded in an understanding of how the mind, body, nervous system, conditioning, and our deeper sense of self shape the lives we experience. I work with adults navigating change, grief, identity, meaning, recurring patterns, or a sense that there is more life available than they are currently able to inhabit. EMDR is central to my work. I also especially enjoy focused work with shock and single-incident trauma—such as accidents, assaults, medical emergencies, sudden loss, and other events that continue to feel present in the nervous system. Depending on the person, I may draw from somatic approaches, the Flash Technique, continuing-bonds grief work and IADC, HeartMath, and optional energy-based methods including Emotion Code and Body Code. I offer online therapy in Ohio, Kentucky, and Florida.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe there is always more life available to us—maybe a whole different life, maybe just a freer, more fully inhabited one. Much of what governs us lives outside conscious awareness: conditioning, inherited patterns, the voice in the head, and nervous-system responses that can make even joy, intimacy, and possibility feel unsafe. Therapy is not only about reducing symptoms or understanding the past. It is about seeing what has been automatic, not mistaking every thought for truth or every contraction for guidance, and learning to remain present for what we want. I value science and psychology alongside the mysteries of the body, intuition, energy, and consciousness. Whatever your worldview, there is room here for the language, beliefs, and questions that help you make meaning. I want therapy to help you trust your perceptions, participate more consciously in your life, and have more freedom in how you meet the beautiful, terrible fullness of being alive.
