My Background and Approach
I have extensive experience working with children ages 10 and up, teens, and young adults facing ADHD challenges with executive functioning, focus, and emotional regulation; anxiety and depression requiring coping skills and hope-centered strategies; autism spectrum needs with neurodivergent-affirming support and social skills development; trauma requiring safe, healing-centered care; and school-related stress, peer relationships, and life transitions. I celebrate neurodiversity and understand that different brains work differently—providing affirming care rather than trying to "fix" neurodivergent individuals.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I thoughtfully incorporate Christian principles, biblical wisdom, and prayer into psychotherapy when appropriate for treatment. Your faith journey is welcomed and respected as an integral part of healing and growth. I work with clients seeking to align their mental health treatment with their Christian values, providing a spiritually-sensitive approach to managing ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. For clients who prefer faith-neutral therapy, I also provide evidence-based care using DBT, CBT, MAP (Managing and Adapting Practice for childhood mental health and behaviors), and trauma-informed approaches without religious content.
