About My Clients
I am naturally child-centered in my approach when working with clients whether it be via talk therapy or play therapy. This means I start the therapy process where you and your child are at. I believe that children will organically talk about their feelings when there is a strong therapeutic relationship.
My Background and Approach
I am a licensed clinical social worker with 13 years of experience. I am also a certified child-centered play therapist. I also have training in trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy.In each one hour session, I will meet with your child to explore the issues you and/or your child are concerned about. You, as the caregiver, will be kept up to date through phone calls unless you request an in-person session. Clients will engage in games, activities, or play that explores feelings, problem solving, and other areas of skill development.
