I tend to believe that the core of what I treat in my office is trauma. Trauma is anything we feel deeply and negatively impacted by. It causes our brains to get stuck in a heightened flight/fight state. This is why it is so crucial to work through our traumas so we can move on from the event(s) and live a fulfilling life.
