About My Clients
I enjoy working with adults of all ages, but have a soft spot in my heart for young adults and millennials. My ideal client is ultimately anyone who wants better for themselves. It takes courage to take the first step and whether you are eager to feel better or terrified of beginning therapy, I'm here for it.
My Background and Approach
BA Social Work, Texas Tech University, 2010. MSW, UT Arlington, 2016. In my career I have worked with children and adults navigating the impacts of trauma, grief and loss, terminal illness, and more. I enjoy getting to know someone's story while we work together to identify strengths, process feelings, learn and implement coping skills, and practice self compassion. I rely on a variety of different treatment approaches and can help you determine what works best for you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
We are all uniquely created and worthy of good things in this life. You are loved as you are and should be affirmed as such. Your feelings are valid, your experience is real, and there's a therapist out there for you when the time is right. I care deeply about making sure people feel seen and heard and have been honored to support individuals and families navigating HIV diagnoses, hospice care, bereavement, childhood trauma and abuse and more. I support the Trevor Project, HRC, ACLU, and my local foodbank.
