About My Clients
Starting therapy takes courage, and it’s the first step in regaining control of your life. Depression, anxiety and trauma can stop you from meeting your true potential in many areas of your life. If you are finding yourself always meeting other people’s needs but not yours, or if you are looking to develop healthier relationships, I’d be honored to help you get there. I am confident that together we can identify your goals and work towards developing meaningful insight and sustainable change.
My Background and Approach
I utilize a person-centered and strength-based approach to create a safe, supportive space that promotes growth, healing and overall wellness. I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), attachment-based theory and mindfulness-based practices to help you work towards your goals. I am trained in EMDR; an effective and evidenced based treatment modality used to facilitate healing from traumas of all types. I have trained with Postpartum Support International (PSI) to support my interest in working with the perinatal population. I am also passionate about working with adults through various life transitions, including those pursuing careers in the helping profession.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
