About My Clients
I'm a lesbian and a relational therapist. Some are working through trauma and how it still shapes their days. Some are figuring out who they are: their identity, their sexuality, and what they want, not what they were taught to want. Some are rebuilding after betrayal or abuse, on their own terms. Some live with anxiety that will not quiet down. And some come because a relationship feels stuck, painful, or hard to leave. Whatever brings you in, the work starts with your actual life.
My Background and Approach
My approach is relational, psychodynamic, and attachment-based. That means we pay attention to the patterns underneath what is happening now: the ones you learned early in life, the ways you learned to protect yourself, and how those patterns show up in your relationships, including the one we build in the room. We slow down and get honest about where a pattern came from and what it has been doing for you. Then we practice something different, in session and in your life, until a steadier way of being with yourself and other people starts to feel natural. If this feels familiar, I offer a free 15-minute consultation. It's a relaxed conversation to see if working together feels right. I'd be glad to hear from you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
For LGBTQIA+ clients, these patterns often tangle with family rejection, cultural or religious pressure, and growing up without models of a thriving queer relationship. That lived understanding is at the heart of my practice, and my door is open to straight clients doing this work too. Underneath it all, we're all looking for the same things: to feel safe, seen, and chosen. Whether you come in solo or with your partner, you don't have to translate your identity here. It's already understood.
