I have extensive training and experience working with children who have experienced difficult healthcare experiences including hospitalizations, medical trauma, and more. I have unique training in helping children understand and cope with their illnesses as well as illnesses of parents and other caregivers. I am a Registered Wonders and Worries Provider which means I am able to provide individual and group support to children with a parent with cancer using an evidence based curriculum

I am a Certified Grief Counselor through the American Academy of Grief Counseling and have extensive experience helping children through grief and loss in the healthcare setting. Helping a child through the death of a caregiver is one of the most humbling experiences and I am passionate about helping families through this difficult process.

Using creative play therapy techniques, I can help children come to a developmentally appropriate understanding of their illness. Through my extensive healthcare experience, I have a unique understanding of how illness can affect a child's development, coping, and overall mental health.
