About My Clients
I have a special interest in children, teens, and adults ages 4 and up with neurodivergent traits, diagnosed ADHD, autism, sensory-processing differences, and pathological demand avoidance profiles. In addition, I specialize in the treatment of complex trauma related to chronic illness and neurodivergence.
My Background and Approach
I provide my clients with a blended approach to traditional mental health treatment. Often enhancing traditional interventions with animal-assisted therapeutic support. I integrate modalities such as EMDR, IFS-informed parts work, play-based interventions, and somatic psychotherapies that focus on embodiment and attunement. Clients benefit from this eclectic and integrated approach as it provides comprehensive and immediate neurofeedback within the therapy office between the client, me, and my two therapy dogs that I partner with when providing in-person therapy. Allowing for deeper healing, increased regulation during traumatic reprocessing, and enhancing client's window of tolerance in a beneficial and lasting way.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I not only have a professional interest in my specialties but also a personal investment in them as well. I grew up chronically ill, diagnosed with central sensitization, fibromyalgia, POTS, hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, chronic fatigue, and PTSD all before I was 25 years old. Furthermore, I was diagnosed with ADHD, inattentive type, later in my life (at 30 years old) after years of struggling with feelings of fear and overwhelm. I understand the frustrations, struggles, and emotions that come with chronic illness, chronic invalidation, and limited support because I've lived it and I want to help those experiencing similar situations.
