About My Clients
My clients tend to be curious, open minded, culturally diverse and fed up with their current situation. With couples this looks like: disconnection, lack or challenge with intimacy and sex, having the same damn argument over and over, infidelity and broken trust, parenting, and wonky communication. With men this looks like a struggle with: anger, confidence, shame, anxiety, fatherhood, being a partner and the daily stress of being a man in this world.
My Background and Approach
I am trained in marriage and family therapy which allows me to see folks as part of a larger system (family, culture, gender, sexual orientation). My job is to fully understand you, so that you can learn to connect more with yourself and in relationships. I do this through curiosity, intuition, play and thoughtful challenges. I'm experiential by nature and utilize strategic creativity which means we get to use music, art, social media, folklore and pop culture to support your growth, strength and connection.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I grew up in a community where I felt very misunderstood - I so desperately wanted people to GET me and it just didn't happen in the way I needed and deserved. I totally get the emotions and thoughts that pair with feeling misunderstood and I don't want anyone to have to be in that space. The thing is many folks feel misunderstood and it is my greatest passion to make others feel understood. I want you to know that you matter, your needs are necessary, your wants are valid, your desires are wonderful and you deserve HAPPINESS and HEALTH. I would be honored to support you!
