About My Clients
I work with a diverse clientele including children, teens, and adults. As a neurodivergent individual myself, I can relate to many of the struggles that clients with ADHD, Autism, Sensory issues, and Learning Disabilities may face. Many of my clients come in struggling with feelings of shame and self doubt. I love being able to work with individuals to support them in not only developing skills to improve daily functioning but to support them with feeling better about themselves in general.
My Background and Approach
I believe that humor and empathy are fundamental in creating a non judgmental space for individuals to feel free to come in and be themselves. I do utilize a lot of mindfulness and cbt techniques in session to support the development of strategies to aid clients in their daily lives. I am additionally informed by IFS therapy which helps clients connect to and understand the different parts of themselves. I have also received training in AEDP which emphasizes client-therapist connection and emotional attunement. I am extremely passionate about my work and genuinely enjoy connecting with clients and being able to help them feel less alone in their struggles and celebrate their victories. I do also have a lot of experience working with children and teens who may be struggling with ADHD related issues. I provide coaching for them and for their families to support with skill development and improve emotional regulation.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a returned Peacecorps Volunteer who has experience living in and working with diverse cultures. I also have a sibling who is part of the LGBTQ community so I work to support clients of all genders and sexual orientations. I am a strong believer in social justice and equality. I believe healthcare should be a fundamental human right that everyone has access to.
